Foodmach partners with Markem-Imaje for multiple printing technologies used to mark fresh food products.
Marking is usually contained on the primary packaging substrate for retail, but also for substrates used in storage, which may constitute primary or secondary packaging. A few marking technologies even permit marking directly on the food product itself, depending on its surface.
The Markem-Imaje range includes CO2, fibre and UV laser technology, Continuous Inkjet (CIJ), Thermal Transfer Overprinting (TTO), Print and Apply (P&A), and the Drop-on-Demand technologies, Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) and Large Character Inkjet (LCIJ), otherwise known as TouchDry® High Resolution Inkjet.
Markem-Imaje offers a range of solutions for traceability for compliance and beyond. Technologies such as enabling you to better managing potential hazards that can lead to product recalls, to product safety, and even catering to consumer appetite for initiatives such as “farm to fork” where fresh produce authenticity can be traced from the farm to point of sale.
Foodmach partners with ThermoFisher Scientific for advanced metal detection technologies.
The Sentinel Multiscan Metal Detector, designed for precise and sensitive detection of metal contaminants in various food products, including fruits, scans with up to five different frequencies to improve sensitivity and reduce false rejections, especially in products with a "product effect" where the metal signal might be masked by the product itself.
The Sentinel 5000 is designed to detect metal contaminants that are up to 70% smaller in volume compared to previous technologies, ensuring a more thorough inspection of fruit products.
This improved sensitivity helps food manufacturers ensure the safety and quality of their products, even when dealing with smaller metal particles that may be present in fruit during sorting, cleaning, or packaging.

Game-changing container loading technology to improve logistics efficiency.
The Australian meat industry has long sought a solution to enhance traffic and logistics flow around loading docks.
One Shot Loading introduces an innovative approach to container loading, improving efficiency while minimising congestion and safety risks.
Goods are pre-loaded onto a loading system. This can be done in a variety of ways, such as conveyors, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or Forklift Trucks (FLTs).
Once the load has been prepared on the loading system, the process of one-shot loading can take less than 5 minutes depending on which system is being used, saving over 80% in labour and handling.
Instead of a team of lift truck operators, one operator can run several LoadMatic units.
